Terms of Service

Alo Invest is a software tool for investment research: it analyzes markets, builds and backtests strategies, and can manage a simulated (“virtual”) portfolio whose fills are computed locally from market quotes. The research product cannot place real trades, does not connect to a brokerage account, and never holds funds or securities.

Alo Invest is not investment advice. Alomana is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary, and nothing the Service produces — analyses, signals, strategies, backtests, simulated trades, or memos — is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or other instrument. Output is generated by an AI model, may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Any investment decision you make is yours alone; consult a qualified professional before acting.

Simulated or backtested performance has inherent limitations and does not predict or guarantee real results.

With an active subscription (or during a free trial), Alomana grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software for your own research. A license key is for one person; don’t share, resell, or sublicense it. We may revoke keys that are abused. Open-source components included in the software remain under their own licenses.

The software operates with API keys you supply (e.g. Anthropic, and any optional data providers). You are responsible for those accounts, their costs — including model-usage charges — and for complying with each provider’s terms. Your prompts are sent to Anthropic under your own agreement with them; AI output is machine generated and should be reviewed before you rely on it.

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. The free trial is a limited number of agent queries, requires no card, and carries no obligation. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable — if something is broken, email us and we will make it right.

Prices may change; we will give notice before a renewal at a new price takes effect.

Don’t use the Service to violate law or regulation (including securities and market-abuse rules), probe or disrupt our infrastructure, circumvent license enforcement, or misrepresent the Service’s output as advice from a licensed professional.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be correct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alomana will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or trading or investment losses of any kind, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms; if we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current billing period.

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that date is acceptance. If you don’t agree, cancel before your next renewal.
